AN EXCITING JULY

July is indeed an exciting month with us.
The month started with the “back home” of our two members from the Project Professional Group (PPG) conference in Antwerp, where a lot of group meetings and partner-to-partner meetings were organized professionally under the luxurious yet friendly atmosphere of Hilton Hotel. Many PPG members are very interested in the potential of Vietnam, as well as the reliable co-operation of Vantage which is highly recommended by other PPG members who experienced before. Surely this is a fruitful trip!
Also during 1st week, we finished the 3rd shipment of the bottle system to the Vietnam Brewery Project in Danang city.
We exported 2 oversized tanks from Hochiminh city to Melbourne.
In the second week, we delivered 19 important shipments total 2,700 CBM of the big power plant project Nhon Trach 2, including the Gas Turbine 310 tons and the Generator for Gas Turbine 318 tons, 3 Power Control Centers (PCC) which are extremely sensitive with moving action. All delivered safe and sound, meet client’s very high demand on quality.
The 3rd week goes on with many project shipments: the steel structure to Italy, Thailand, UAE…, delivery of Cua Dat and SonLa Hydraulic Power Plant, factory equipment for Thai Trung Steel Plant…
Yet it is summer and our fellows deserved some relax for their hard work!
And here, Four Seas Resort at Mui Ne in the weekend! We all enjoy sea – sand – pool – seafood – not only among ourselves but also with our families, where the children can make friends to each other, prove their singing talent, and maybe start a love for the logistics career in future?
Then, back to the hard but interesting work. In Dung quat, vessel Kurt Paul load 14,320 CBM of cargo for Pecem project in Brazil.
August promised to be an exciting month, too!
WE START THE YEAR OF TIGER OPTIMISTICALLY

We have a good start for the Year of Tiger.
Firstly, we are assigned an important power plant project – the Nhon Trach 2. The scope of service includes: customs clearance, pick up, temporary storage and deliver for all types: import for fixed assets, temporary import for re-export, commercial import, there are 6 heavy units from 180 to 318 tons, with totally about 700 shipments for two years 2010 - 2011. A lot of challenge, really, but we are determined to handle at our highest devotion.
Secondly, we export a chambersburgh 10000 hammer set, heaviest unit is 100 tons from Haiphong to Pusan, Korea. We picked up from Cai Lan port by jacking method, transferred to Haiphong port by hydraulic chassis, hired a 170-tons floating crane to load cargo from truck to a containerized vessel. The carrier KMTC arranged 3x40’FR containers adjoining each other. We used the gravity spreading method to load the 100 tons unit safely on the 3 containers which max payload is only 40tons each. The shipment was safely delivered in Korea.
Thirdly, we ship 800 tons clump weight from Haiphong to Vung Tau for an oil and gas project. We pick up, charter and load on vessel in Haiphong port, sail to Vung Tau PTSC and discharge.
Fourthly, on 24 February MV Rickmers Shanghai 276 will berth Lotus port to load our cargo for the USA power plant project.
Fifthly, MV SCL Bern voyage 13 will arrive Dung quat area on 5 March, to load 2,800 freight ton of cargo destined to Brazil.
Sixthly, MV Beluga Fusion voyage 14 will also pick up 4,500 freight ton of cargo from Dung quat to Brazil.
Continually, next couple of months will be busy with many projects on waste treatment, power plant, airport equipment, ship crane, milk packaging system…

Learning and training is very important to us. By attending a two-day course on Project Cargo Management recently held by Project Professional Group (PPG) in Singapore, we prove that improving our professionalism is our continual aim.
The course was marvelous in providing and systemizing basic and advanced knowledge / skills in project cargo management, from international communication skills, clients’ expectation, feasibility study, project volume budgetary, route survey, tender process, chartering, to dealing with sub-contractor, HSE, post project involvement…
